Product information "Pecorino Pepato Duro"
A hard cheese made from sheep's milk, matured for at least 5 months and enriched by the taste of black peppercorns dispersed in the paste.
It is a sheep's milk cheese made exclusively with milk from Sardinian pastures, rennet, salt and black peppercorns. The paste is white, firm and compact, with the colour of the peppercorns blending with that of the paste.
The aroma is full and pleasant. The almost spicy flavour of the matured pecorino with the typical taste of Sardinian sheep's milk blends with the black pepper and takes on spicy notes.
It is a delicacy eaten in slices, flakes or cubes and goes well with homemade bread, pane carasau, guttiau or other tasty pastries. In the kitchen it can add a special touch over pasta, and in flakes or cubes it can enrich salads.
