Product information "Montasio Stagionato DOP"
Montasio is a typical table cheese from the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and the north-east of Veneto. It is characterised by a semi-hard paste, compact, white or straw-yellow in colour, with regular and homogeneous holes.
The rind, initially smooth, elastic and compact, light brown in colour, gradually dries out as it matures, causing the paste to become grainy and crumbly.
