The Pelati (peeled tomatoes) glass contains 80% peeled tomatoes, 19.7% strained tomatoes and a touch of sea salt. The tomatoes used here are organically grown and ripened under the sun of central Italy. Thus, they have taken on the aroma and taste typical of the Molise region. Harvested, processed and bottled on the same day, they retain 100% of their flavour. Naturally pure, just like from the Nonna!

Origin
Orto d'Autore is a family-run farm in the Molise region that produces strained tomatoes, sauces, pestos, legumes and fruit preparations.
How did Orto d'Autore come into being?
Every summer, in Ururi, a small town in lower Molise, whole families would gather to make the traditional tomato puree. This tradition has always been shared by the D'Arienzo family, who specialise in growing tomatoes and many other typical products from Molise. In 2000, Angelica and Antonella, the wives of the D'Arienzo brothers, had the inspiration to enhance this tradition by founding Orto d'Autore. As a result, the passata (strained tomatoes) from the Molise region, which is as good as it is genuine, is now a source of pride that has enabled Orto d'Autore to make a name for itself in Italy and throughout the world.
The family
Orto d'Autore is built on a solid foundation; behind it is a united family that has managed to turn a profession into a passion. The D'Arienzo family has a vast experience in the field of agriculture, and thanks to their attachment to this fantastic land and their ability to preserve traditions and passions, new generations have also been able to share in what the family tradition has been able to create and grow.

It is understandable that some people doubt the existence of our beloved Molise, indeed it is hard to believe that such a fantastic place could exist.... Between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea unfolds Molise, a small region in central Italy whose lands, extraordinary expanses rich in different cultures, are not a utopia but our home. Everything is grown here, in these pristine fields, rich in scents and flavours that can only be smelled in this magical place.
